DIY QArm gripper

Like the QArm but not the gripper? Bring your own, or even better, design your own. James Ibbs from the University of Birmingham has done just that! The QArm's end-effector break-out board accelerates integration with the rest of the manipulator's software stack by providing analog/digital IO, UART/I2C/SPI connections, additional PWM channels, encoder channels, as well as 3.3V, 5V or 12V power. For his final year project, James moved the QArm's RGB-D camera to face downward and better suit his needs for identifying objects, and designed a new suction-based end-effector to pick and place the identified parts.
