The system features eLearning curriculum paired with hands-on training with real industrial equipment for subjects like process control safety, interpreting instrument tags, valve and pump symbols, loop controllers, proportional control valves, display scaling, closed loop liquid level control, proportional control, flow sensors, and open-loop tuning. The 990-PC1F provides vital training experience for students and professionals that will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process control systems used in industrial sectors like power generation, petrochemicals, food processing and manufacturing. While process control systems can often be quite large, you won’t need a massive lab space to teach relevant real-world process control skills. The 990-PC1F packs industry-standard valves, switches, and gauges into easily portable cases that can be used practically anywhere. The training system’s two portable consoles feature a wide variety of real industrial components, including a PID controller, operator controls, process meter, flow transmitter, water tanks, piping network with valves, gauges, centrifugal pump, and PLC interface. Learners will practice hands-on skills with these components to gain an understanding of how process control equipment works. Skills highlighted by this system include connecting and operating loop controllers and diaphragm actuator proportional valves; using a multimeter to test pressure sensor operation; connecting and operating alarms on a controller; controlling a process using PI control; measuring flow using a paddlewheel flow sensor; and tuning a control loop using the process reaction curve method. The 990-PC1F also features Amatrol's exclusive FaultPro electronic fault insertion software. FaultPro allows users to insert 30+ faults into the system for troubleshooting. FaultPro can also be programmed to randomly select and insert a fault to test a learner’s troubleshooting abilities and prepare them to solve real-world technical problems once they’re in the field.
