With a trade, you can get a great job directly out of high school.” Launius explains that “for over ten years, One Southern Indiana, in collaboration with the Metro Manufacturing Alliance, has hosted Manufacturing Week to build an opportunity for students and industry to connect throughout the week in some really fun and authentic ways.” He adds that “when we look into the future, we see [manufacturing] as an industry that will continue to serve our region immensely, but a critical piece of that is the workforce and the next generation.
